Perceiving Tree Energies
This is a meditative workshop focussing on perceiving tree energies. When I took a year to meditate one by one with the Celtic Trees, I wrote a book called Reconnecting with Celtic Trees. Through the process I felt that a new cycle was taking place that required our active attention. I wondered how best to introduce this notion of an entirely new energy cycle that the planet is entering. After visiting Clonacody House I realised that the exotic tree species growing there offered a doorway into this new consciousness. By engaging with an array of more exotic trees (or at least non-Celtic trees) we can free ourselves of old habitual thinking and renew our senses. We can also renew our soul search at Michaelmas, an important time of the year.
The Five Elements
I am a certified Ogham tree practitioner and it is through my understanding of the Five Elements as used in Chinese traditional medicine that I came to a deeper understanding of the tree community. I already had used the Five Element theory in my book Spirit of the Burren. Also I practised it as a tuning fork healer under Fabien Maman of the Tama Do Institute. The Five Elements is a very comprehensive system from which one can structure ones perceptions more.
