Irish Sacred Sites workshop: The Path of the Mother
November 18, 2016 @ 8:00 pm - November 20, 2016 @ 4:00 pm
€250By visiting Irish sacred sites we can glimpse a rich and wonderful devic world from which to draw true inspiration for our lives. We invite you on an adventure of spirit that takes you deeper into the Irish landscape than ever before. Now is the time to more consciously recognise the great wisdom of this land. and to weave the knowledge of the heart into our activities. Through this work we will serve a greater purpose than the peace and love we find within as individuals.
This is the first weekend of eight in a series focussing on Irish sacred sites. For the first weekend we start in the north west, which predominates in late Autumn. This is where the Reshel ley line known as the Path of the Mother begins, and so we nurture the womb energy we each hold. We will also do sound activation at key sites.
I’ve been inspired to use the eight directions inherent in the Celtic Tree lunar calendar, and we can focus on unique locations each weekend we meet. Each weekend will include working with the trees, and also simple exercises in sound and movement that help you connect deeply to nature and become more fully present and alive. My intent is to lead you into a deep and meaningful exploration and expression of the energies of this time of year in accordance with the individual tree types who hold specific qualities.
As we work together in nature at specially chosen sites, I invite you to try dowsing as a means of verifying the energetic changes that occur. I draw upon the work of my friend and healer Marko Pogacnik (Unesco artist for peace) to create new ways of connecting, and inspired by my trainings in sound healing I draw on exercises I have developed.
It’s important to honour the trees as they are our beloved guardians of the nature kingdom. I share fresh insights into a cosmology that very often precipitates your inner growth. (I have been developing a series of tree meditations that help you resonate with the inner qualities of each lunar tree in the Celtic Tree calendar. With this came the realization that chakras, directions, colours and much more all can be integrated with this knowledge. My first book on trees was a poetry one in 1999 and now I am writing a new one looking at how the new cycle of growth we face is supported by our trees.)
Stellar, a sacred songstress, is an adept in the mystery and wisdom teachings of Earth Gaia and uses sound in a profound way to assist in Gaia’s ascension at this time. This affords you a greater understanding of how important sound is to work with our Beloved Planet. Using various frequencies aligned to nature, the Universe and the Schumann resonance of Earth, Stellar will guide you in song, tone and sound to connect to a much deeper part of yourself and the planet, which equates to a reciprocal and Divine Union for all. Using various languages linked to the stars, sacred sites and of light you can expect a much deeper conscious connection with the multi-dimensional realms of Gaia and beyond.
- First we visit a very large and ancient yew to connect with the season of death (and pending rebirth).
- Let us walk into the Fairy Glen below Queen Maeve’s tomb, on of the key Irish sacred sites. Since this is a time approaching regeneration and rebirthing we approach the womb of the Great Mother in this secret location, where we can hear Stellar sounding the voice of Gaia herself and participate in a sounding session that will bathe us in this natural acoustic setting, attuning us to nature, the Earth and all her inhabitants.
- Later we walk higher into the surrounding hills where we can explore the caves of Kesh Coran which lie in the belly of Morrigwen the female warrior goddess. This location is so appropriate to the theme of gestation and seeding in the in-between worlds. We hear the legends of the site, and again sound in the caves to create acoustic resonance with Earth and all living beings.
- Weather and time permitting we also may visit Carrowmor linear cemetery (one of the most ancient collection of burial cairns in Europe and significant among Irish sacred sites), and a waterfall to bless our journeys within and without.
