€150Many people have an affinity with trees. They touch our hearts in different ways according to the tree type and our own personality and soul purpose. In ancient Celtic countries the Celtic Ogham trees were created when the elders looked to their native trees for inspiration for harmonious living, revering them to the extent that they devised an alphabet from the initial sounds of each tree. The Ogham tree alphabet reflected a yearly cycle and from this arose a special calendar where each tree was ascribed a lunar month or a season. This cycle also created an internal pattern of sacred geometry connecting the seasons and the lunar months. This was Druidry at its best. The trees were an intrinsic part of their various levels of teaching. The tree calendar taught everyone in society the importance of the trees not only as great guardians of nature but as reflections of our human souls.
